- Make a dough with the flour. In a thick bottomed pan, heat 2tbsp ghee and add the chicken. Let it simmer, when the rice is half done, pour it over the chicken and spread it evenly. Cover the lid. Along the edge of the lid, use the the dough to seal it. Over low flame let it sit for half an hour.
- Chop the remaining 2 onions. In a pan heat 1/2 tbsp ghee and brown the onions with a pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar.
- Lastly, when you uncover the biriyani, sprinkle the browned onions over it and serve it with curd or raita.
