Steps to cook Chicken Biryani:

  1. Wash the bastima rice and strain, set aside.
  2. In a big pot, add cooking oil and cardamons, cinnamon, shallots on medium heat for about 5 mins until the shallots turned brown.
  3. Add ginger, garlic, coriander, green chillies into the pot, stir fry for about 2 mins.
  4. Add turmeric, garam malasa, chili powder mix well with the ingredients.
  5. Add tomato in, stir fry for a min.
  6. On another small pan, add cook and cook raisin for about 1 min.
  7. Add chicken in, coat the chicken with the other ingredients.
  8. Close the lid and cook for about 15 mins until the chicken is 80% cooked. Add lemon juice.
  9. Cook the rice in rice cooker separately. Then mix it with the chicken later
  10. Reduce the heat to slow heat and add raisins in let it cook for another 10 mins.
  11. Serve with coriander and slice of lemon on top.
