  14. 1/2 cup finely chopped coriander leaves

  16. Ingredients for masala paste
  17. 4 chopped onions
  18. 4 tbsp grated dry coconut
  19. 10-12 garlic pods
  20. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  21. Ingredients of special Kolhapuri onion coconut masala
  22. 4-5 red chillies (lavangi or byadagi)
  23. 1/4 cup dried coconut
  24. 5 onions cut thinly
  25. 4-5 garlic pods
  26. 1 inch ginger
  27. 2 tbsp coriander seeds
  28. 1 inch cinnamon stick
  29. 3 green cardamom
  30. 1 black cardamom
  31. 1 tsp cumin
  32. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  33. 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
  34. 1 tsp fennel seeds
  35. 1 tsp asafetida
  36. 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  37. 4 cloves
  38. 1 strand mace
  39. 1 1/2 tbsp poppy seeds
  40. 1 tbsp sesame seeds

  42. 1 bay leaf
  43. 1 cup chopped coriander leaves

  1. Take all the ingredients for marination. Marinate chicken for 3 to 4 hrs. Or atleast for 1 hr.
  2. Take ingredients for masala paste. Make fine paste of it.
  3. For kolhapuri onion coconut powder, take thinly chopped onions, garlic pods, grated ginger, finely chopped coriander, dry all these items in sun for 1 day. Take some oil and fry all above ingredients till they become crispy. Fry dry coconut using little oil. Fry all spices using little oil. Take all the above ingredients with red chilles and salt and make powder in mixer.
  4. Now in a pan take marinated chicken, cover with lid, put on a low flame and cook it until chicken separates water.
  5. In another pan take 4 tblsp oil, add all spice leaf. Then add masala paste. Fry for some time. Then add red chilli powder, termaric powder, kolhapuri onion coconut powder, salt and now fry it very nicely until the masala separates oil. Then add chicken in it. Stir it. You can add more water for thinning the gravy.
  6. Cook it for 15 min or until chicken get cooked on low flame. Delicious chicken is ready. Serve with chapati/jowar bhakari/rice.
